Hunan Aokang Biotech Co., Ltd. is located in Honghuayuan Industrial Park, Xupu County, at the foot of the Xuefeng Mountains. Relying on the rich medicinal plant resources of the Xuefeng Mountains, the company has selected more than ten unique and rare traditional Chinese medicinal varieties for scientific research and development.

The company has carried out large-scale cultivation of 6 medicinal plant varieties and has established bases covering more than 1,200 mu. It owns 4 wild medicinal plant domestication bases and is currently domesticating more than 10 wild species. Among them, the seedling cultivation technology of 2 wild medicinal plant species has applied for patents.

The company has built two high-standard seedling cultivation bases covering a total area of 220 mu, with an annual capacity of cultivating 1.2 million seedlings and producing 200 tons of seedlings. It can newly add more than 2,000 mu of cultivation base per year, and it is expected that by 2025, the company’s total base area will reach 21,000 mu.

The Xuefeng Mountain range is the largest mountain range in Hunan Province, with a main ridge over 400 kilometers long and 120 kilometers wide. It is located in the western part of central Hunan Province and is a transitional zone from the hilly areas of central Hunan to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is also the intersection area of the Central China flora and South China flora, with a forest coverage rate of 68.7%. It ranks second in China and first in Hunan in terms of traditional Chinese medicinal plant resources. Among the more than 1,900 known medicinal plant species, 175 are key nationally protected medicinal species.
